In today’s world there is not one aspect of life that electronics do not touch. Since we have been looking for our lives to be simpler and easier we have been heading for a life full of electronics. Things are invented just to make one’s life go quicker or make one’s life easier. There have also been many good developments from electronics, as in medical advancements, food safety, travel, work and entertainment. One cannot look into any field without it having some type of electronics involved with it.One of the most touched fields is medicine, there have been improvement to extend a person’s life.

Some of the electronics that have been invented are those such as the pace maker, dialysis machine, and blood sugar meter. Without these items many would not have the proper care to make their lives much better and this would also mean shorting of lives. Pace markers help those with heart conditions who otherwise would not have something to keep beats regulated. Dialysis machines help those with kidney damage let them lead a health life until a proper kidney is found for them.

Blood meters help those with diabetes have better control of their sugar levels, this will help stop the damage that diabetes can cause. Other advancements in the medical field are that research into importing people’s health range from discovering vaccines, for illness that in the past could have killed us, to making stem cells for skin cells (“Scientists Use Skin”). In 2000, the human genome was discovered with the advent of technology that would have never be possible otherwise, now one can read the complete set of human genetic information (“The Tops 10 Medical Advances”).The internet can now be used to gather information on a disease in mere minutes, unlike before that would take days, to better help the patient understand their ailment. Another of the wonders of electronics is the speed in which blood samples can be processed, what use to take days in the past now days takes only hours, making health care much more efficient. The advent of technology has taken a lot of the guess work out of medical diagnose. In the food industry the electronical marvels have made growing produce, pest control and safety so much better.

In many parts of the world crops can be grown all year long something that could not be done before. Once a big problem pest have been controlled by the by the advantage of crop duster and systems that can mix the right poisons to be more efficient. Irradiation of food now can take care of fungi, bacteria and insects (“Food Irradiation”). With freezing and the refrigerators crops can be frozen to make their shelf life so much longer. This means that people can now have better quality of food for much less.

Once vegetables could only be kept for long periods of time by pickling, but this would change the flavor of the vegetables, now we can freeze and even freezed dry food so they may last much longer without altering the taste.People today can even sample food from around the world, something that could not be done many years ago. With the invention of the personnel computer and the internet one can now plan trips on their own and search for the right price on something needed.

Planes, cars and trains now have the ability to know just where they are with a GPS (Global Positioning System), making getting lost a thing of the past and know just when they will arrive more accurate which help people with making plans. Fuel system now make the use of fuel much efficient being able to travel a lot further with less fuel.Cars have computers built in to help the mechanic diagnose problems a lot faster, this shortens the time the car is in for repairs. Travel now days is a lot more fun and easy so people can plan trip with many more interesting things to see along the way. Weather is an area that has exploded with electronics and technology.

Computers can now monitor and track storms, this helps with evacuations if needed. Meteorologist can now tell if a storm becomes a tropical depression or a hurricane in a timely manner so people can be moved out of the way. Weather forecast has become more accurate so one can plan their day.People do not understand how important forecasting the weather is, it can save lives. Radars help to show and monitor the weather in local areas, but if you have access to others around the world you can have a good view of how and why weather act the way it does. The ability to monitor weather from around the world makes it easy for people to plan for trips to faraway places. The science of weather, metrology, has grown by leap and bounds this is wonderful so many can be protected.

Meteorologist can now watch a storm begin in the middle of the ocean, calculate its strength, and show direction in which the storm will travel.Today many people can be moved out of areas where a storm will hit that can and might cause terrible damage which in the long run will save these lives. Work has become more efficient, business computer can handle a bigger work load, this also helps that more information is at the business’ finger tips. Customer service can now do their job better do to the fact that inventory and past orders can be looked up much faster, this helps out a customer who wishes to purchase a similar item they bought in the past.

Scheduling appointment is faster now do to the fact that calendars are just a few clicks away.There is a reduction of paper in the work place because now days everything is enter into a computer. Work can now be seen by the boss letting them know who is working and who is not making it, this makes possible to remove those who do not take their job seriously or help them improve their work ethics. Today we can get more done in a shorter time making each day more productive. There are many drawbacks to this to, some being there is a need for less people to do the same amount of work.

Workers now need much more education to compete in today’s market, this is a good thing because workers now have to multitask at the work place.What took four people to do now takes only one saving money and space, this leaves the money free to be used on other things. This also let people look into opening their own businesses because a smaller work force is needed so less over head. Now days there are many more small business owner running their business faster, better and more efficient than before. The entertainment field has grown greatly do to the fact that electronics have made it better.

The internet can be a good source of fun with all the online games and chat room, one can make friends and start groups in an interest one has.Finding music can be done a faster pace now without even leaving ones home. Books now can be downloaded onto hand held units cutting back on time spent at the store and lines. Televisions now have a much better picture, sound and take up much less space, with cable or satellite one can watch lot more and from all over the world. The video field has changed much seen how tape have been replaced with DVDs making them last longer and have better picture. The way books were accessed was by buying them or going to the library to sign them out, today book can be downloaded into one’s PC or wireless reading device.

Television have come a long way from bulky tube sets to space saving flat screens, the picture has gotten so good that now 3-D is offered without glasses and within the home. Satellites offer a great variation in shows that can be seen now from around the world. Communicating with others has improve greatly, what use to take a letter to travel half away around the world not take but mere seconds, making having friend around the world an everyday thing. Sharing videos with others can now happen immediately, this also goes to making movies and other media sources. The internet has now become one of the greatest money makers in the world.

One can buy and sell items from sites and have them shipped anywhere in the world. Items that were only sold in one part the world can now be sold all over the world at the click of a button. What use to be sold at yard sales for only a few dollars, can now be placed on line and people can bid on it and go for much higher price. Collators now can do a search for items they are looking to buy in a much shorter time and find really good prices on the items. Pricing on things have become more competitive do to the fact that the same type of item can be sold for many different prices and people will always pick the lowest.Seen all the advancements made in the field of electronics one cannot say that life is a lot better now than even twenty years ago.

Many items in today’s world were only ideas and hopes a few years back then have now become reality. The only thing that can now happen is that things we think up now a day come to reality in the near future. Seen the advancement now days it is only right that electronics will be in one’s life from now on, but as with anything else one must take care not to abuse these advancements.Everything has a good side and a bad, but with restrictions and control electronics can only make our lives better.
