Daisy Buchanan is a sweet girl that we meet in the beginning of The Great Gatsby
Daisy Buchanan is a sweet girl that we meet in the beginning of The Great Gatsby. She is known as Nick’s cousin and she lives in the East Egg with all of the rich people. Daisy is also married to Tom. She wears white clothing, has a white car, white flowers, etc. As you can see, Daisy is generally linked with the color white. This is a symbol of innocence or purity for her in the book. An example of this would be when she is talking about her daughter and says, “I hope she’ll be a fool, that’s the best thing a girl can be in this world, a beautiful little fool.” She believes that the best thing she can do in this world lies on her beauty and not how smart you are.
