There are several factors that were in charge of this disaster which incorporate human error,bad climate ,over confidence of leaders ,lack of calamities and other natural calamities.
Over Confidence lead people to make wrong decision in this case Fischer and Hall were both over-confident about themselves and didn’t think about the results by their decisions.
Another reason was unqualified people made of trip their lack of experience in such situation put the whole trip in jeopardy as there was lack of responsibility and team work / poor communication.Even the planning of logistics was poor the quality of equipment they carried was not suitable/sufficient for the trip (few radios etc).
