“Romeo and Juliet” is a play that is one of the most famous love stories in world literature written by William Shakespeare. This famous play is a tragic love story that takes place in Verona, Italy in the 1300s about the two rival families Montague and Capulet and a forbidden love between the son of Lord Montague, Romeo, and the daughter of Lord Capulet, Juliet. This feud caused the young “star-crossed lovers” to hide their love knowing that they will never be allowed to marry, so they marry in secret with the help of Friar Laurence, the priest. Romeo and Juliet knew that their families will never allow them to be together which lead to them taking their lives because they did not want to live without each other.
