Humanity is facing problem of obtaining alternative fuels and with this soil infertility closely interrelated. And the most favorable source of energy is biofuel, for which the technical crops are grown; It means agricultural land removed from the rotation which gives reason for higher food prices. There is a vicious circle: increase in production – increase in energy consumption – increase in release of greenhouse gases – use of biofuels – removal of turnover of land for technical crops – decrease in yield and hence rise in food prices.
Biofuel is a fuel from biological raw materials, obtained, as a rule, by processing stalks of sugar cane or rape seeds, corn, soy.
