Applied Modern Management Theory Which principles of modern management theory can be applied in a healthcare/related setting? Which do you see in your own work environment? Respond to at least two of your classmates’ postings. Healthcare is very significant in the world today and everyone need it in their lives. Healthcare can be anything such as: preventing a disease, illness, or injury. In my opinion healthcae are supposed to help the needs of human being.Medicine plays a major part in healthcare related models because it cures many peoples’ sickness.

Institutional Theory and Resource Dependency are the principles of modern management theories are are most applied to healthcare/related settings. Institutional Theory is an organizational behavior that explains the behavior from a subjective or influential point of view. This theory is based mainly on the organized behavior among the environment.

Institutional theory lasts for many years and are established very well. Institutions consist of cognitive, normative, and regulative structures and activities that provide stability and meaning to social behavior (Johnson, 2009 pp 57). ” In this world we have well built establishments that last a lifetime. Mostly hospitals and courthouses were built to last a lifetime. Resource Dependency Theory is also a healthcare related model because it is needed for survival .

It provides the necccessary resources for human beings. It is an open sytem that require resources to fuction properly. The theory suggests that all organization get together with the entites for survival ( Johnson, 2009 pp54).The theory also strategize to better manage resources and that is very important in healthcare. I see Resource Dependency Theory, and Institutional Theory because they all have a signicanct point to contribute to our work environment.

Resource Dependency Theory is in my work environment because people depends on it everyday to live. My family are my resource because I don’t have a job at the moment and I love them dearly for that. Institutional Theory are definitely in today’s work environment because the workforce was established a long time and provide support and meaning to human behaviors (Johnson, 2009 pp 57,54).
