This paper argues that gene therapy will become essential in preventing deaths from skin cancer because of the reason that gene therapy may be able to introduce a normal copy of the gene to restore the function of the protein and that should help patients receive better treatment and reduce the pain of using drugs and surgery. Based on the evidence that Recombinant adeno associated virus (vAAV) has shown high efficiency in gene transfer in human skin keratinocytes. The result of gene expressions was observed using reporter gene green fluorescence protein or GFP. The transferred genes and signal GFP expressed up to 50 days in a human cell line and were able to pass the trans-gene in daughter cells. This paper acknowledges that some futurists might argue that gene therapy can have very serious health risks, such as toxicity, inflammation, and cancer. Because the techniques are relatively new, some of the risks may be unpredictable, and its response by stating that these critics might not have given due consideration the medical, ethical and safety of gene therapy. Moreover, that is based on the assumption that patients undergoing gene therapy had success, with the transition to a post gene therapy state, or failed gene therapy, with the transition to prophylaxis post gene therapy, patients could experience gene therapy-related complications during the first 12 months following gene therapy. The reason behind this study is to help readers understand the significance of gene therapy in the treatment of skin cancer and to disapprove the pessimistic views that gene therapy is one of the greatest risks to future generations.
