Period of Trumans policies as a Massachusetts

Period 44-19-03John F. Kennedy- the first in a legacy of fate-filled, extraordinary family of politicians who ran this country in times of turmoil since the 1960s. However, the Warren Commission, the popular name given to the investigation of his death, proved nothing in their conclusion of how and who had shot him. His murder, which has forever remained a mystery throughout the last half century, was a brutal and public death. What were the motives, and most of all what was the real mystery.

This controversial topic will be thoroughly examined to determine what really went on, furthermore the report that concluded the death of JFK. First as an undergraduate of Harvard (class of 40), Kennedy improved his credentials by working as a secretary for his father, American ambassador to England. His Harvard thesis, about the Nazi threat to England during WWII, was published in 1940 under Why England Slept. After Harvard he then enlisted in the Navy, commanding a PT109 ship in the South Pacific. When his boat sank during a battle, he was credited with saving one of his mates. During his congressional and early political years, Kennedy supported most of Trumans policies as a Massachusetts congressman (1947-53). He then moved to the Senate and in 1958 after he narrowly won the democratic primary, he won 7 primaries and many debates against President Nixon.

He was the youngest and only Catholic president ever at age 43.The Warren Commission, compromised of Earl Warren, Senator Richard Russell, and John Sherman Cooper, found that there was a single killer in the investigation, Lee Harvey Oswald, form one spot. However the way Kennedy was shot definitely concludes that there were multiple shooters.

However as Oswald was being arrested, an angry Jack Ruby, a head Dallas police officer, shot and killed Oswald before any questioning could be done. Started on November 29, 1963, a week after the brutal murder, analysts looked and looked over the weapon and Dealy Plaza, still concluding that one shooter had shot the president multiple times. When in fact, there had to have been at least two shooters, because of the angles of the wounds. This was realized by Jim Garrison, New Orleans DA, who never actually solved the mystery, but got very close. His investigations stopped because of all the hate brought upon him. The origins of Kennedys conspiracies involve many different aspects. For instance not only did Kennedy have two mistresses, furthermore one of them, a Judith Exner, was actually also a girlfriend of Sam Gianaca, a known Chicago mob leader.

Now the mob was highly over looked in the Warren Commission, however the mob had good reasons to want to oft Kennedy. There is evidence that is not being released by the government until 2017 which was earned after an appeal to the Supreme Court to open this up earlier, instead of a 2029 release (under the JFK Act of 1992). During and before Kennedys campaign to run for president, frequent visits to Las Vegas to notorious mob leaders were believed to be for help in his presidential campaign.

Kennedy was elected and sure enough, Kennedy elected Robert Kennedy as Attorney General, who was totally against organized crime. However other factors come into the picture of it all. The growing tension with other countries such as Vietnam and Russia, none came as hot as the fiery predicament with Cuba.

During a build up of nuclear weapons on the small island, which was supplied by Russia, America demanded that Cuba disarm their weapons, because of a cold war with Russia , and due to the close range of the missiles. This not only angered Cuba, however Kennedy and his administration because of Khrushchevs direct lie on television when asked about the growing missile presence in Cuba. Not to mention the communist relationship that Cuba and Russia had. Also earlier in the decade, during The Bay of Pigs in April of 1961, an attempt to rally the Cubans to go against Castro with help of American troops, failed, this greatly stopped good relations with Cuba. Finally, when word of a conspiracy against Fidel Castro reached Cuban intelligence, something had to have been done. The CIA was working against Castro with operatives in Cuba, however nothing was ever successful in his assassination, because of the incompetence of government officials and the already everlasting scandal behind the family.

Finally, a plot to kill Kennedy was created with help of the CIA for reasons that will later be disclosed. Russia brings another story of plots and conspiracies to the story. With the growing nuclear threat to the United States, post WWII fears, forming of NATO, the UN and the Cold War trauma brought these ideas to the CIA and KGB of an assassination of Americas beloved leader. The UN or United Nations disincluded Russia bringing Communism as the form of government to an already poor nation, after WWII. Kennedys support of the UN helped form the plot against him by the KGB, the Russian secret police instituted by Lenin and Stalin, who were very anti-liberal. In hopes of stopping the cold war, Kennedy met in Vienna with a very angry Khrushchev.

He denied Kennedy of the proposal and said that a peace treaty with East Germany can be concluded and all western Berlin access can be cut off. Furthermore what was the American governments involvement in this? Factors show that because of the space race with Russia and interests to draw the attention of the country and media away from the growing problems including his two mistresses. The Space Race with Russia was a difficult and daunting task, and when one Russian astronaut rounded the moon, Kennedy delivered a great and powerfully moving speech (February 20, 1962, after John Glenn completed the first orbit around the earth) about space and the certainty that America will get to the moon first. After this speech it is have been said that NASA officials suddenly panicked when a given due date by the speech, was in effect. CIA officials also knew that this would cost millions and if America did not win it would make NASA look stupid.

Furthermore the timing and way Kennedy was shot could only have been orchestrated by multiple parties. And yes, there is more. The K.K.K. (klu klux klan) also had it in for Kennedy.

In a time where even though slaves were freed by Lincoln almost 90 years ago, racism was very relevant and strong in America. During Kennedys proposals to make tax reforms and civil rights movements, brought the attention to racists everywhere. Although they have never directly linked the KKK with the assassination, it still proves to be a factor. The Shooting itself concludes even more of a puzzling story. The way JFK was shot brings hard questions to the line. 3 yes 3 shots were fired, all of which hit Kennedy.

The final one has been believed to have stopped his life short. Coming from all directions it is believed that there were multiple shooters. On November 22, 1963, President Kennedy was driving down the street in a motorcade of about 6 cars when right as they passed the book depository, boom, the first shot, rendered Kennedy down, but did not kill him.

The second shot, which also may have killed Kennedy shocked and surprised Jacqueline, but the third shot not only shot the president, but spread his brains around everyone in the car that day. Michael Migrow, service man watches the tapes in The Men who Killed Kennedy. If you look at the tapes, you can see officers in the Secret Service standing around. This would never happen. There would be men on the roof tops, and every building would be checked out prior to the parade. What brings even more confusion is the hours after his death, in Dallas center hospital, when Adam Saratoga, a doctor at the hospital remembers all the men in the operating room.

I was being shoved, and 3 men tried to stop me from touching or doing anything to the president. They then took the body, and left the hospital. Many people were present at the parade. How can a mystery so great, and so in depth have no leads or clues to what really happened? A total of 6 cameras captured film that day, all were home video cameras. And although someone caught the final bullet on film, of which spread his brains out across Dealy Plaza, no one caught a clear enough image showing suspicious activity, or anyone in that matter.

However while seeing the diagram at the end of the project, as mentioned in Historys Mysteries- The Kennedy Assassination, camera 5 captures the shady fence, where an outline of a person is seen. Although no figure can be made out, the same camera also shows another woman filming the whole thing- the only problem is that this woman never came forward with the tape, to anyone, ever. Another troubling factor is the police officer, James Farley standing by the grassy knoll, where the outlined figured is presumed to be.

He recalls the shots in The Men Who Killed Kenned. I heard the shots and noticed the smell of gunpowder coming from the South of the book depository. I had told my chief of my precinct, but it was never recorded. Had the shot other shot some from the fence? It can never be known but this mystery still remains. Abstract.Kennedy, a young aspiring president, who showed equality, strength, open mindedness, and great knowledge, was the ideal president.

A graduate of Harvard, a war veteran, a conservative, and a superior politician, John Fitzgerald Kennedy may have been the best president our great country has ever had. What can bring someone to shoot this great leader, who brought equality to African Americans, and avoided the end of the world during the Cuban Missile Crisis? It can never be really known. However most facts certainly point to the CIA or KGB, especially concerning the Warren Commission. With its poor report of the assassination, much evidence and witnesses of the tragic day in Dealy Plaza now gone, this may be a mystery only heaven can solve.

During his involvement with other women, or the mob also may have sparked a conspiracy, and multiple shooters are proven to be present. Without Kennedy, we went through the Vietnam war, a tireless effort that achieved nothing. This would not have happened if Kennedy was shot. Furthermore, the if the Kennedys didnt have such a bad string of luck, maybe Robert or John junior could have been president, because right now Bush is ruining America.Despite all the speculation, the assassination was a terrible thing, and the following investigation was even worse. In all the turmoil, it can never be known what really happened.
