Were what you can and cannot trade.

Were what you can and cannot trade.

Were the American colonists justified in waging war and breaking away from BritainThe colonists were in every right, aspect and mind, not only justified but also it was about time that they stood of and actually take action against the British.

The choice of going to war with them, was the only choice that they had. All diplimatical options that they had ceased to stand a chance against the tyrant Britain. From the very beginning when the colonists felt upset against their mother country and the way that they went about the law making, up until the beginning of the war, they tried all diplimatical options that they had, by sending letters, you name it.

When they didnt work then they had no other means but to declare war. It was said, and is very true, that the British gave a lot to the colonists and we see such helpings as in the French and Indian war. The British gave up a lot of troops and money and numerous others in fighting that war, that the least that the colonist could do is to pay the taxes. Well they do have a good right to say that since they were the contributing factor in the colonists being safe from the French and Indians.

The people, in the end should go about daily lives and pay the normal taxes, but you do have to draw the line somewhere. (DCT 1)The things that come with being able to make laws, and take away certain rights and being able to control a land, such as the colonists. You have to know how to use your powers in such a way that it will benefit you and also the people will be pleased. When Britain takes control of which the people can and cannot trade with, well it regulates what you can and cannot trade. And by doing this, it might be a good idea in the kings eyes, but its not the best idea in the peoples. Which is whom you are ultimately trying to please. In the grand scheme of things that is what the British were missing in their perfect colony, pleasing the people.

(DCT 2)The massacre that happened on March 5th changed a lot of opinions of the colonists about how they felt about the British. The way that the picture was made, in relation to the story was key in winning the hearts of the Americans. The story told is depicting confusion on the officers part, and they randomly fired on the crowd, not in any particular area. The picture shows that the British were organized, and aimed to kill. Since it is easier to get the story from a picture, the picture was that the troops have a desire to kill the people, shown with the organization. This picture portrays the British as murderers, all the more reason to unite and rise against and go to war against. (DCT 3)The King in his right mind has total control and power of the colonies and can do whatever he deems necessary to control them.

With that said, The king of that time, not thinking about the peoples feelings went ahead and instead of making the people happy did whatever he could to make the government better. Which in the long run was to make money. Well every time the king mad a law to make up for another law that the people didnt like, it backfired on him, causing more uprisings against him. The people were growing unhappy and rebellion was just around the corner. (DCT 4)The only way that the people of Americas could except the laws that the British make would be to be totally submissive and accept all the ideas and beliefs. That wasnt going to go over that well.

To get around this, the people really had no choice, they were not going to give everything up for the British, and give them their perfect world so the only option left is war. A choice like that is hard to make because of all of the work that goes in to it, but they found a way to work everything out, with enough of the reasons that the British gave them. (DCT 5)Thomas pain brought out the best in everyone when he described how he could not be a friend with England anymore and really caught the attention of the people.

When your own king would go against you and intentionally bring forces upon the land and to force the law. That right there is an act of wrongdoing, and is the last straw, when the king has resort to that means. No man should ever follow a man of that thinking. (DCT 6)A final act of rebellion and best means of declaring war, is that such as the DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE and is put best in saying that the people of the Americas tried their hardest to avoid such a measure as to go to war, by petitions and peaceful means, but when all else fails, war is the last and only resort. (DCT 7)Through those last documents, one through seven all proved to be vital in the decisions that made the people resort to war. Sometimes enough is enough and you have to be able to recognize that, and stand up for yourself.

We see it in present day and we will always see it. From past to present to future, we will always have to stand up against the Britains of tomorrow and fight for what we believe in because nothing will come free for us.
