Understanding Roles, Responsibilities and Relationship in Education and Training.
As a new mentor to a new tutor in my first year of teaching. It has apparent that I’m having trouble maintaining a professional distance from my student. As a new teacher it’s very important to understand the role and responsibilities. There are roles and responsibilities boundaries that divide the lines which indicates the farthest limits. This facilitate orders in any organisation and allows personal organisational objective to be required to their basis. Action that is given to or needed or expected to a person or group are referred as Role whiles the obligations are to curry forward on task to a perfect closure are referred as Responsibilities.

• Roles and Responsibilities
I will be focusing on professional activities within the teaching cycle. It’s important to Recognise what are the professional boundaries that govern a teacher’s behavior that comply with a Professional code of conduct. Therefore, of significance I discuss where the tutor’s different roles stop and starts. After analysing we will then come up with a conclusion. First year as mentor to a new tutor was very watching them having trouble maintaining professional distance from student. It’s hard to understand what the roles and responsibilities as a teacher was. Knowing different ways which actively involves and engages with the learners during every session, whether this is in the workplace, in a college or other training environment. Giving mobile phone number to the learner, inviting them to be friends on Facebook page, and often meeting up with them outside the organisation for coffee is stepping out of line and there should be boundaries. Most learners will have different individual learning needs and it up to the tutor to accommodate their needs, this needs t be done by an assessment skill that will promote equality, diversity and inclusion. Learning environment is important for students to feel safe, relaxed, and willing, learners who may have had negative experiences in traditional classroom environments. Supportive learning environments as enhancing their self, which, when combined with increased skills, help students take more chances in pursuing that things they want. Creating a supportive learning environment for learners this includes Build a strong classroom community and communication. Play an important role in helping other learners build stronger and bigger networks around them. Provide learners with friendship, skills, and contacts beyond their immediate communities. Intentionally networks in the classroom can create wonderful lovely supportive relationships with the learners and teachers. Small group and class room activities, first day of class to help learners to get comfortable, ongoing opportunities for students to form connections with students that don’t communication as frequently in the classroom. Opportunities to share about different cultures and backgrounds others people might have. Learners experience success at their first meeting so the first experience is a positive one for a learner.

• Legislation or Code of practice
Equal Opportunities Act 2010 says that learners have an equal way to learning in any case of their learning disabilities, barriers, sex, and race. Under the Disability Discrimination Act 1995. It is against the law to discriminate against a disabled person in various are of their lives, as amended by the Special Educational Needs and Disability Act 2001, disabled learners cannot be treated less liked, and tutors must make reasonable adjustments to ensure that disabled learners are not at a substantial disadvantage compared to their peers. As the tutor I should do an assessment, so I can be able to diagnostic assessment to identify specific individual needs and support their needs, this will lead to detailed personal profile, providing the basis for an Individual Learning Plan. I have limits to this role, doing a thorough assessment, I may identify learners needs not good enough and might have to refer the learner. For example, if I identify that a Learner has financial needs, I may need to refer the learner to the correct department in this case the finance department. Helping meet the learner’s need the professional boundaries. It would be very unprofessional for a tutor to give any sort of money towards their education or get money from a learner as this is very unprofessional. Professional code of practice introduced by Institute for Learning states that a teacher should protect the interest of the learners and wider public. Member of the Institute for Learning, breaching the code will be subject to disciplinary, as described by the disciplinary procedure only if the tutor failed to follow with the code, this is the new professional body for the sector. Breached the code of conduct when it was showing that she had a problem trying to maintain a professional distance from the student. It was her responsibility to show professionalism. Student shouldn’t be getting invitation on Facebook, giving out her mobile phone number and meeting outside the organisation for a coffee is part of breaching the code of conduct. Code of conduct shows the roles and responsibilities to her student.
• Equality and diversity
Making things easier for the learner and tutor to access learning and deliver learning correctly, the assessment needs that will identify, Knowledge understanding of how to apply the different assessment methods like formative and summative assessments to meet these learning needs. Equality Act 2010 considers all individual in their day to day work. This may increase a level of motivation to both the learner and tutor. Roles as a teacher is to conduct initial assessments which will help the tutor to identify learner’s needs, knowledge and skills and help to identify referral points against levels within a National Standards. Identify leaners needs that need to be referred, having to give the learner information, advice and guidance where they are being referred to. The initial assessment includes some important detail to inform the plan, which should be revised on-going basis to monitor the learner’s progress and identify any support needs, collecting and using evidence on equality that develops the policy and decision making, Learner and tutors will have to be aware of what the learner knows and is able to do and what he/she needs to learn. Involved in effective practices that equality promotes, this is engaging with communities in many ways and any other disabilities that could make reasonable adjustments in order to use appropriate assessment methods that meets individual learner’s needs and promote equality and diversity. Any learner require support which is beyond my competence, Refer and ensure that the learner has the right information on their referral, to meet the professional standards, advice, guidance and support to which learners might be referred. Individuals differ in the information they use to form this initial characterisation. Multiculturalism is the idea of promoting that accepting the differences between others. Specifically equality is about individual treated fairly and equally.
Roles and responsibilities are important as a result of promote reasonable within teachers that will help meet organisational, personal and the learner needs. It gets annoying if a tutor lacked clarity on their roles and responsibilities because this can be very confusing with who answers to who, and who is doing what? When roles and responsibilities are put out there, it really benefits the learner and tutor, by delivering learning which is perfect, this promotes equality and diversity. Boundaries will help tutors to work within a limit and adhere to the professional code of practice. confirming the learning cycle. Responsible for ensuring that this cycle is continuing, Action and plans are put in place, positive feedback is given to the learner when and where it’s needed, and this cycle does not need break. Expand the level of inspiration, wishes this will help to achieve the goals for both the learner and tutor. The tutor will be responsible for inducting the learners to the organisation and course, so that learners understand what is expected of them to do and what the organisation can deliver. This will help the learners to have a clear understanding of the organisational rules and regulations and of the course contents. In conclusion a tutor should possess several things, though it would be impossible for an individual to display them. Every tutor is different, styles will differ greatly. As a mentor, the tutor needs to show her ways of practice. Part of her role is to do reflection and becoming aware of what would give her more assurance when teaching. The aspects of being a teacher would be needed to change and have more important development to take chances.
