There are many ways organizations can obtain the co-operation of their employees. One way they can do this is by the type of contract of employment they offer to their employees. This can be done by offering;

Full Time Permanent Employment Contract. This is probably one of the most common form of employment. People who work full time in a company are usually considered as the cornerstone of the business. This is when the employer and employee enter an agreement to work with each other indefinitely. This type of contract can be based on the employee being hourly paid or salaried and should set out the employees working hours etc.

Part Time employment. In the part-time employment contract, employees need to have a particular focus on the employee’s working hours and pay. It is also important to ensure that the holiday entitlement for part-time employees is clearly and accurately reflected in the contract and meets the relevant statutory requirements.

Zero-hour contract. This contract specifies that an employee works only when required by their employer. The employer is under no obligation to provide a set number of hours for the employee to work

Casual contract. A casual work contract is generally applicable to a person who is classified as being a “worker” rather than being an “employee”. Workers have fewer employment rights than employees. The casual contract is not normally permanent employment contract and would for example, be used for seasonal workers.

Another way organizations can obtain the co-operation of their employees is by using employee involvement techniques. This can be done by;

Engage Employees with Creativity and Team-Building Workshops. Team work is very important in every workplace and so if the management wants to get the co-operation of their employees, they can put some employees together in creativity and Team-Building workshops and when that happens, the employees will be able to communicate with each other and there will be better co-operation.

Create a Company Mission Statement That Lets Employees Be Proud of Their Job; There are companies which just want to make money but there are also others who make money whilst fulfilling a mission and so if there is a mission alongside the everyday work activities or creating the environment which makes the employees feel special this can motivate the employees to be motivated in their workplaces.

Survey Employees and Listen to Their Feedback. Everyone wants their opinion to be heard and taken into account and so if the company conducts regular surveys asking the views of the employees and responds to the feedback, this will be a good factor to ensure co-operation in the workplace.

Give the employees some fringe benefits. Employees know they have to show up every day and get the job done and so if the company puts in extra perks like employee discounts, double pay on public holidays etc. for employees that work well, this will be a good motivator and it will help boost the performance of the employees and guarantee their loyalty.

Create a Creative, Welcoming Environment. Another way is if the working environment is relaxed and welcoming. If this is done, the workers will feel at ease and will not only be able to work well but they will also be able co-operate better with their colleagues and managers.
