The Middle Ages
The middle ages began after the fall of the Roman Empire. I think the middle ages should be labeled the dark ages because homes and families have suffered through so much. Europe had a lot of damage done to them. The dark ages left a very negative impact on Europe, because the people, families were left devastated.

The dark ages are have burnt down “churches and departed with a crowd of captives” “Hungarians swarmed the Eastern Provinces, towns and villages and laid waste to the fields.” “There is no longer any trade, only unceasing terror…. The peasant has abandoned his ravaged fields to avoid the violence of anarchy.” (document1)
There were so many people who feared to live there. …. They have killed and captured many. All who die by the way, whether by land or sea, or in battle against the pagans, shall have immediate remission of sins.” (document6) Dark ages was a very rough time period for Europe.
