The main outcome would be changes in prevalence of stunting in children less than 5 years of age after the implementation of these nutritional interventions. Other outcome measure would be-
• Height for age or (height indicated in cm.
• Low birth weight-as birth weight can act as substitute for small size at the time of birth, therefore if there is small size of infant at birth that could be indicator of inadequate nutrition of fetus.
Then these measures could be compared to see if there is gain in height during the intervention, changes in indicators such as height for age as according to WHO child growth standards a child who is below 2 standard deviations of WHO child growth standard median is recognized as stunted along with which he/she is considered to be short for his/her age and if child is below minus 3(-3) standard deviations is considered to be severely stunted.(“WHO | The WHO Child Growth Standards,” n.d.)
• Some of the other outcome measures which can be secondary outcome measures such as
Weight for height, weight for age .If child is falling below two standard deviations of WHO child growth standard median for weight for height is viewed to be thin for his/her age .Also for weight for age if the child is falling below 2 standard deviation of WHO child growth standard then he/she is regarded as underweight and if the child is below 3 standard deviations then he/she is severely underweight .After the intervention these measures are compared to see if there is height or weight gain during the intervention also if there is any change in indicators weight for age, weight for height.
