The amorphous behavior of the prepared glasses is confirmed by the X-ray diffraction

The amorphous behavior of the prepared glasses is confirmed by the X-ray diffraction (Cu-K? radiation ?Cu = 1.5406 A). Chemical analysis of raw materials of different glasses samples was carried out by X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF). Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) analysis coupled with the Elemental analysis Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy (EDS) have been performed in order to establish the morphology as well as the elemental composition of glasses and glass fibers using Bruker spectrometer. For this analysis, the samples of glasses and glass fibers were dried and then deposited on the surface of an adhesive carbon film and a 20 nm carbon coating was sputtered onto the surface to make them conductive.
The densities of the glasses samples were measured via Archimedes method which diethyl ortho-phthalate was used as the working fluid. The Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) was performed for glass samples to obtain the transition temperature Tg with a heating rate of 10 °C / min from room temperature up to 1000 °C.
