Technology gives people the unfortunate ability to contemplate less, by being able to do time-consuming math sums on a calculator which gives an answer only therefore people never distinguish the steps to getting to the answer. Things like that allow our brain to work less, reduced brain activity could make a person less intelligent. Instead of indulging in mind fertilizing activities such as reading, playing sports or exercising, we invest in texting and turning into couch potatoes, watching television. We rather focus our time on non-fiction movies, videos, etc. rather than shifting our focus on fiction novels or research about how to improve our live or scientific experiments.
