Sociological perspective is the perspective in which we analyze how an individual perceives his society. We can look at the behaviour of people and the society in which we live. We always think that we are typical people living our own lives in our very own way and it is just normal, but through this, we can see how it affects us and our behaviour. Our Contemporary Indian Society has numerous examples which we can use to discuss in the following essay.
In Sociology, we do a systematic approach to perceptions of people in a society. In another sense, “Common Sense” is our subjective perception and beliefs of the society around us influenced by each and every factor in our environment. We study human behaviour in a broader social context. This enables us to look beyond our own judgement about our society and look under the surface of situations. We perceive many things thinking that it is ‘Common Sense’ but that does not prove the fact that it is true. For simple understanding, when we see a person sleeping on the pavement, we immediately come to a conclusion that he/she might be beggar or a drunkard.
