Scar turns as if to leave and Mufasa stops him by saying “Don’t turn your back on me Scar

Scar turns as if to leave and Mufasa stops him by saying “Don’t turn your back on me Scar.” This is a warning. Scar shoots back “No, perhaps you shouldn’t turn your back on me!” This is veiled threat on the king’s life. Because the king is never introduced in Hamlet, the audience is left to wonder whether the king had any notice that his brother wanted him dead. or for the future. The quest for revenge that Hamlet takes leads him to death. Hamlet has more of a dark mood whereas The Lion King has an optimistic outcome of the story. It’s a family friendly movie where there is a happy ending. I think William Shakespeare had an influence on the plot, characters and the internal struggle of the protagonist because The Lion King and Hamlet are so similar.
