Many of us hold privacy dearly. We consider it a right, one that should only be taken in when our safety and public good directly hang in the balance. What if the sacrifice of just a little bit of our privacy meant a life would be saved? What if just by giving up our thumbprint, we could save ourselves from fraud and identity theft? What if by not giving up our privacy we couldnt have all of those things we wanted, when we wanted them.

We have always accepted the fact that we have to give up privacy for public safety and for the convenience, so why should it start to bother us now. On top of that, we are not facing the invasion of big brother that every body is so inclined to believe. The government is not invading our privacy in effort to control the nation, it is an effort to promote our own safety.
