Our lesson today will help us define sensation vs. perception through a certain activity that will take place. So does anyone know the definition of either word sensation or perception? In a short brief description sensation means or refers to how a individual can feel or detect physical energy from an external force. As for perception, it can be defined as the process of information through an individual’s mental impression. We will also be doing another activity that will help us define and understand the concept of transduction. Can anyone define what the concept of transduction means? Transduction is the process in which converting something into another thing, like energy. Lastly we will have a few questions at the end of this lesson to see if you understand the concepts of sensation, perception and transduction.
