Job analysis and job descriptions are closely interrelated
Job analysis and job descriptions are closely interrelated. The information gathered on each job through job analysis is subsequently organized and compiled in job description. The competence of the job description thus depends largely upon the extent of the information obtained through job analysis. Job description is defined as a brief written description of work. It consists of job overview, job summary (mission or objective statement), duties and responsibilities, and may contain other information such as skills, minimum qualifications and working conditions.
