Jiri Kylian’s 1989 creation and famous work, ‘Falling Angels’, is a work that achieves unity. It is a part-series from his Black and White ballets which aims to convey a dominant theme of a women’s sexuality represented in different ways. The main intent of Falling Angels is to show women’s attempts of reaching perfection but succumb in various stages to the human female psyche and female events such as seduction, pregnancy, birth, motherhood, self-awareness and death.
