In our experiment

In our experiment, we are testing if different types of grain affect the rate of mold growth and how food preservatives affect mold growth. We will conduct this test by placing different types of bread in plastic bags and moistening them with water to see the rate of mold growth on each slice of bread.
Molds are a type of fungi that are found everywhere. Exposure to mold can lead to various adverse health effects including Fatigue, weakness, headaches, light sensitivity, poor memory, difficulty concentrating, joint pain, shortness of breath.
They can also produce mycotoxins which are usually reserved for the toxic chemical products produced by fungi that readily colonize crops. Spores and mycotoxins can have bad effects on humans. There are many of species of mold and most found indoors comes from outdoor sources. Mold is more likely to grow when there is water damage, high humidity, or dampness.
