In Lord of the Flies, Golding portrays a group of boys who are stranded on an island in which consists a deep battle between civilisation and savagery. One of the characters that are prevalent in the novel, Simon who is visibly fragile expresses a further knowledge of issues on the island that the other boys are oblivious too. The main themes that surround Simon’s character is that he is almost like a biblical counterpart. Simon is presented as a saintly figure as many of his qualities were demonstrated by Jesus.Golding demonstrates a good relationship between nature and Simon throughout the whole novel.
