ICT skills are to a good standard and they will help me massively in the running of my business. I am confident in using the different areas of Microsoft such as excel, word etc. Being confident in my ICT skills and having the knowledge will allow me to produce financial reports, create financial databases such as cash flows etc. to a high standard. It will also allow me to save time as I won’t need to undergo training on learn how to use the different areas of Microsoft. I undertook the BCS Level 2 ECDL qualification in which I furthered my knowledge and skills of how to use the different areas of Microsoft. Having the skills to make databases, will allow me to see the financial side of the business and I will be able to see where I can potentially save money.
Technical skills will also help me in the running of my business. I also have the knowledge on how to fix problems on a computer meaning if a problem ever arises, there will be no need to spend money on getting someone to fix the problem. The money saved can be re invested into the business. In my spare time, I will need to make sure that I keep
myself up to date with ICT and upskilling myself as the ICT industry is always changing and new software is coming out. However, training courses will cost money and may add financial strain on me and the business.
