I myself have watched The Lego Movie and I thoroughly enjoyed watching it. The movie definitely has a way of appealing and keeping the attention of all its viewers no matter what the age. I chose to find the three ways that the movie met the typical expectations of a kids movie and three ways that it bent the gene to be innovative. The three ways that the movie met the expectations of a kids movie is one it has a very catchy theme song that will definitely stick in your head for weeks after watching it. Two it had a happy ending where everything turned out right in the end. Last and certainly not least it has irresistible humor and irrepressible energy. Then I found the three ways in which it bent the genre to be innovative. One the fact that the movie had an exceptional voice cast instead of just being all about the characters and action. Two The Lego Movie is the rare film based on a toy or a game that truly feels like its own unique universe rather than a shameless extended infomercial. Finally, third is that it provides one of many opportunities for directors and co-writers Phil Lord and Christopher Miller to take established genre conventions and turn them on their heads. I believe that this movie is a movie that can be fo any age group and not bore anyone. I would recommend for anyone to see this movie if they want to have a good laugh and to cry a little bit as well.
