Conceptual skill means the ability to see the organization as a whole and integrate the relationship between the parts within the organization. It involving strategic planning and management processes to achieve organizational goals involving complex decisions involving long-term effects. Conceptual skills are extremely important for leadership positions, particularly upper- and middle-management jobs.

Managers need to make sure everyone working for them is helping to achieve the company’s larger goals. Rather than just getting bogged down in the details of day-to-day operations, upper- and middle-managers also need to keep the company’s “big pictures” aims in mind. However, conceptual skills are useful for almost every position. Even when you have a very specific list of duties, it is always helpful to know how your part fits into the larger goals of your organization.

Tunku Ismail as the top manager needs to have the skills in conceptual as it is important in making strategic planning and management. Conceptual skills are the dominant skills that must be present in themselves as owners of the organization. Any complex decisions involving long-term effects should be decided by him to avoid any mistakes or losses in the future. Thus, this skill is important in determining the direction of the organization. One of the steps he has undertaken through this conceptual skill is by planning a world-class football facility construction for his club in the future. With a detailed study, he decided the facility would be built near the new stadium being built at Iskandar Puteri. In addition, the construction of the stadium is also complicated because of the huge cost of RM450 million. However, at a great cost. But Tunku Ismail has also used this skill in managing its organization. For example, he motivates his employees with an acceptable reward if they win the super league of malaysia and other competitions. In technical skills, Tunku Ismail does not have to fully master this skill as this skill involves subordinate managers in applying methods, procedures and techniques in certain areas.

PLANNING, ORGANIZING, LEADING, CONTROLLING
In my opinion, Planning, Organizing, Leading, Controlling (POLC) is crucial in helping managers in managing organizations effectively as they can facilitate organizational planning. In planning, the manager will determine the goals to be achieved and determine the most appropriate action to take at all levels of the organization to ensure the organization achieves its goals. For example, Tunku Ismail plans to expand the merchandise sales market to the Asian market. Therefore, he needs to make long, medium and short plans in order to expand his market.
By making a well-organized and well-planned plan, all planning can be done perfectly. Planning is important in determining the direction of the company. It can help the manager determine goals, working groups and develop a comprehensive star rating to achieve goals. Managers can also distribute sources more effectively and efficiently. Additionally, planning will be a benchmark for achieving the objectives. By planning, it is possible to set the benchmark to be achieved. Furthermore, managers can identify opportunities and problems that will be encountered in achieving organizational goals.

Organizing is a process whereby managers organize and distribute organizational resources to fulfill their assigned tasks in order to achieve organizational goals efficiently and effectively. By organizing, a systematic workforce can be done in implementing the company’s goals. In addition, the distribution of resources within the organization can be done fairly and equitably. Every direction and task directed by an individual can be channeled to another person more accurately. It is important to ensure that every individual within the organization does not miss and get clear information from each given instruction.

The third basic managerial function is leading. The skills of influencing people for a particular purpose or reason is called leading. Leading is considered to be the most important and challenging of all managerial activities. Leading is influencing or prompting the member of the organization to work together with the interest of the organization. By exercising leadership, managers can get closer to the organization as well as know the problems they face in the organization. Through leadership, one can influence his organization and can create the spirit of cooperation between them and the opportunity to achieve goals is brighter. Various leadership styles that can be practiced by managers such as autocratic, democratic, lassez-faire and islamic.

Finally, controls are a process of monitoring performance and action taken to ensure that the results are achieved as expected to achieve organizational goals. In my view, control is important for measuring organizational performance. By exercising control, every work done can be corrected in case of any problems. Leaders can make sure the desired results can be achieved. Furthermore, through control it can motivate employees to work effectively and efficiently. Regular controls can also help leaders find mistakes in achieving goals.
