History translated my distaste of literacy to affection
For as long as I can remember, I never cared for the literacy aspect of education. Mainly for the reasons that while in elementary school we all had those teachers where they would give you those little five to ten paper pamphlet books; and you would need to read the pamphlet to your parents/ guardians for home work and your guardian would need to sign off that you read. I absolutely hated reading what my teacher would give us; so much that I would refuse to read the pamphlet and my mom would make me sit either on the couch or at the dinning room table and do nothing else until I read the book. It got to a point where my parents believed I was possibly dyslexic because my father and two of his siblings out of six children where dyslexic.
