Graphic organizers find their origin in the cognitive theories of learning which explains how people learn on the basis of thought process. Graphic organizers can facilitate this process by providing students the framework which relates their previous knowledge to the new information learned. Graphic organizers depicts the four major principles of Bruner’s theory on constructivism which encompass 1) a preferences toward learning, 2)grouping of knowledge construction for learners better understanding, 3) Effective way to present the materials to learners by the teacher, 4) the progression of rewards as well as punishments.
