Fumigation and insecticide application still render useless and causing many side effects both to humans and the environment

Fumigation and insecticide application still render useless and causing many side effects both to humans and the environment. However, there are other non-harmful ways that can be developed to trap insects without releasing toxic chemicals. One example is a local plant called the Tipolo tree also known as Artocarpus blancoi, its sap is sticky and contains antimicrobial properties that can trap and kill mosquitos (Stuart,2016). Tanalgo (2017) reported that sticky sap obtained from Tipolo (Artocarpus blancoi) can trap small birds such as finches and parrots. West and Brown (n.d.) stated that twenty species of the genus Artocarpus, all have latices that can be used to make bird-lime and other sticky substances.
