This all comes in different ways and time periods depending on the person. The book “The Kite Runner” by Khaled Hosseini is a lesson of forgiveness and redemption. Amir journeys from boy to man by learning forgiveness and redemption, all in his relationships with his Baba, closest friend, Hassan and himself.
Baba had power and was respected everywhere, where they lived and this was hard for Amir to follow in his footsteps. All Amir ever wanted was his Baba’s love, respect and attention. “Then I’d bring it home and show Baba. Show him for once and for all that his son was worthy. Then maybe my life as a ghost in this house would finally be over (PG. 56).
