Description of a Bona Vita kettle
Introduction.General Description
The Bona vita 1.7 liters digital variable temperature gooseneck kettle is an important instrument or tool in the kitchen used for boiling or cooking food items. This kettle enables every household to boil water faster and hence facilitating the cooking process.
The kettle is composed of six main parts namely: the base which supports the entire kettle, the handle, the vessel or container, the spout, the lid, and the power cord. These parts are attach to each other like a puzzle. The lid is attach to the vessel which can be removed and positioned back as desired. The spout is attached permanently to the vessel or container. The vessel itself is attached to the base. The power cord comes from base and connects to the power outlet for it to be operational. This kettle can easily be detached and reassemble for convenience. The dimension of this kettle measures 16 x 12.5 x 8.7 inches. The kettle weighs 6.6 pounds.

Description of parts and their functions
Lid: The lid measures 6 inches in diameter and has a convex shape which means it has a curved appearance. The lid can be removed and put back on which enables the user to easily pour water in the vessel for boiling. The color of the lid is black, and it is made up of plastic.
Vessel: The vessel has a hollow and spherical shape meaning having an empty space in its middle which makes it easy for it to hold water. The vessel is made up of aluminum and has a capacity of holding water of up to 1.7 liter. The color of this vessel is silver.
Handle: The handle is curved and attached to the left side of the kettle as seen in the figure above. It is made up of plastic primarily to reduce the conduction of heat from the metallic kettle. It also serves to hold and balance kettle. The color of this handle is black. At the handle of the kettle is found the lid release button which enables the opening and closure of the lid.
Spout: The spout has a silver color and it is made up of metal with a long thin neck attached to the vessel as seen in the figure above at the right side of the vessel. This spout enables the boiled water to be easily pour out of the kettle.
Base: The base is flat and circular in shape. Its shape makes it possible for the entire kettle to be attached and placed to the base easily without falling over. The color of the base is black which is made up of plastic. At the frontal part of the base are found the following: shut off temperature set button, on/off switch, power on indicator light, negative and positive buttons, and the hold function indicator light. Attached above the base also is the waterproof part. This part is flat and circular which prevents the leaking of water from the kettle.

Power cord: This cord is made up of plastic and the metal at the end of the cord. This cord which comes from the base is used as a connection since it is plugged in the power outlet. This facilitates the proper functioning of the kettle.
The bona vita kettle makes boiling water easily assessible for all households in the world.
