Being Australian – What it means to me
Being Australian means I get to live in a very safe country, we do not have to worry about people executing us for our beliefs or dropping bombs on our front doors or if we will have clean water to wash with. We have freedom of speech and equal rights allowing everyone that lives here to achieve whatever they want giving them a “Fair go”. The thing about Australia is that you don’t have to born here to be considered an Australian; we have so many different cultures that make up our country.
The song “My Country” talks about how we have such a unique landscape from our amazing beaches to the harsh desert this is what Australia means to me.
It means I get to be outdoors, camping in our national parks and go swimming in our amazing beaches that people from all over the world come to see. I can go on holidays to explore our country to see places such as the Daintree and Great Barrier Reef.
