Anxiety is a close part of all of our lives whether it is detrimental or not I am sure it is something that we all have dealt with the Age of Anxiety is no abstraction-it is scribbled all over our calendars and appointment books. However far too often, anxiety has been allowed to do its destructive work under the cover of darkness and denial. Anxiety denied or suppressed is like a virus that eats away at our minds and bodies, an infection that is passed on to each new generation. Today the taboo is lifting and people are beginning to talk more openly about anxiety and its many consequences. Anxiety is normal and natural; it is part of being human. By learning how to deal with it effectively we can begin to liberate both individuals and society at large from the tragic consequences resulting from the denial of anxiety and we can begin to resolve some of the most troubling problems of modern society. Mastering anxiety is a required course in the school of life: It has become crucial for personal growth and the survival of humankind into the twenty-first century. I wish to take a gander into understanding anxiety and create meaning from observing and personal relevance in hopes to communicate its momentum and challenge.
