Abstract
There are studies that show how antisocial personality disorder runs across multiple generations. Specific reasons are noted and these reasons have been used to identify treatment options.
Antisocial Personality Disorder is part of the Cluster B Personality Disorders. According to the DSM-5, Antisocial Personality Disorder starts to begin in childhood or adolescence and proceeds into adulthood. The disregard and violation of the rights of others is the main feature of ASPD and happens in a continuous pattern. Part of the diagnostic criteria is that a person given the diagnosis of Antisocial Personality Disorder they must be at least 18 years old. Before age 15, an individual must have displayed signs of conduct disorder. The last diagnostic criteria are that Antisocial Personality Disorder will occur exclusively during Schizophrenia or Bipolar Disorder.
